QUALIFICATIONS

I have my P.L.S. in Oregon and my P.E. in Civil Engineering in Oregon.  I have 16 years experience as a Project Team Leader in the Right of Way Engineering office of the Oregon Department of Transportation in Salem, OR.  I took ODOT’s Front Line Management classes.   I used the Intergraph Microstation to review right of way maps.  I have recently taken a class in AutoCAD at Chemeketa Community College, Salem, OR.  I have my OR Insurance license in Life, Health, Property and Casualty Insurance.

EMPLOYMENT

               I retired from the Oregon Department of Transportation May 1, 2001 at the age of 50 after 30 years service.  I am looking to start a new career in Civil Engineering or office Surveying.  Our health insurance has increased from about $222 a month in 2001 to $871.58 a month last January 1.  This is a fourfold increase in just 3 1/2 years!

1985-2001 Project Team Leader, Oregon Department of

  I did the final review of legal property

  descriptions and the final review of right of

  way maps using Word Perfect and Intergraph

  Microstation.  I directed and reviewed the

  work of junior Surveyors.  I did planning and

  budgets for Right of Way Engineering

  projects.

1984-1985 Jr. Federal Aid Programmer Position, ODOT,

                 Salem, OR.

   I prepared federal aid program documents

   for submission to the Federal Highway

   Administration.  I performed service audits

   on right of way projects.

1979-1983  Design Draftsman, ODOT, Salem, OR.

    I checked field surveys, balancing surveys

    and rotating bearings when required.  I

    sometimes redesigned the field’s design of

    proposed centerlines.  I checked other’s

   designs and computer data.  I prepared right

   of way maps.

1977-1979  Senior Draftsman , ODOT, Salem, OR.

   From the designer’s sketches, location

   maps, right of way maps, etc. I prepared

   contract plans for the construction of roads,

   etc.

1976-1977     Inspector/Draftsman , ODOT, Salem, OR.

    I worked in a location and construction

    office.  I prepared location plans, designed

    centerlines including profile grades, and

    horizontal and vertical curves in the office.

    In the field, I set property pins with the

    transit, slope staked, cross-sectioned and

    inspected material for use in projects.
